Remaking of ancient ring

3rd C. silver wirework spiral ring (Roman?)
Internal crystallization has rendered the ring unwearable and unrepairable. The intent is to rebuild the original and make an exact duplicate for wearing.
The ring is suffering from areas of internal crystallization, and appears to be made of a debased composition where any fine silver was worked to the surface.
The existing pieces of the ring have already been reassembled with sticky wax. The next step is to reproduce the missing tendrils that used to wind down either side of the band.
The original ring with the tendrils added, RTV mold, and wax duplicate
The new ring on the left, cast in sterling silver. The original ring on the right.
