A reproduction of a late 16C. Nef pendant in 24K gold vermeil and enamel. It is set with Garnet, Peridot, and cultured freshwater pearl. The hull of the ship is hinged and opens via a latch on the bow. Inside the hull is a carved tourmaline quartz seashell. Have your own special Nef Jewel created, commissions starting at $525

These scrollowrk designs were actually more in fashion in late 15C. Florence, and some scrollwork collar styles are depicted in Flemish paintings from the mid-16C.

| LUNATE COLLAR / QUARTER CRESCENT - This is a heavy cast sterling silver piece. Made from three hinged plates, set with Baltic amber and garnets, with garnet drops. These can be seen depicted in mosaics of Empress Theodora and her court. The Byzantine Lunate collar denoted staus and wealth by the number of plates and ornamentaion.

My abstract interpretation of a mummy in gems and sterling silver. The mummy's body is draped in granules of silver and her curvy side acts as an ergonomic finger grip when examining the real mummy in this piece.
